As more details emerge, and heartbreaking stories of children among those murdered, our thoughts& prayers remain with the victims and families murdered, the communities of Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Mosque and people of Christchurch. May Allah grant them Paradise& their families sabr.

The people of Belfast came together today from all faiths and backgrounds to offer condolences to the victims.

Belfast City Council have opened a book of Condolence which will be available for signing 9am-5pm at City Hall, Lord Mayor Deirdre Hargey and High Sheriff of Belfast Alderman Tommy Sandford paid a visit to BIC in sympathy and support for the victims and to the local Muslim community this afternoon and this Evening a vigil was held by United Against Racism, remembering all the victims of the terrorist attack, at Belfast City Hall.

Allah have mercy on the New Zealand worshippers and the broken hearts they leave behind.

The solace we can take is those who passed:

Died as martyrs
Died in a state of wudu
Died during Jumuah Salah
Died on a blessed Friday
Died in the blessed month of Rajab

We who live on should honor their memories by tawbah, getting right with God and serving His creation

Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 154:
وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ

📍And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead; nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive📍

Please do not share videos of the attack as the videos are very graphic. There are also members of our local communtiy who have loved ones who have died in this atrocity and who may have opened such videos without realising the content.

And finally I ask kindly ask all of you across Northern Ireland and beyond to remember our brothers who have passsed away in your duas on this blessed day.
