Muslim Women Speak – A living library event by BIC

DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

BIC are happy to present our ‘Living Library’ event planned and hosted by Women from the Muslim community of NI.

Tuesday 25th September from 10am to 12.30pm at Belfast Islamic Centre.

A “living library” is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue.

Muslim women are often in the news – sometimes it feels like we are talked ABOUT rather than talked to. This event will be an opportunity for members of the public to have a one on one conversation with Muslim women from our very diverse community here in Northern Ireland.  Unfortunately spaces are limited so booking is absolutely essential: info@belfastislamiccentre.org.uk

Thanks to Belfast City Council’s Good Relations Unit for supporting this event.
